On the rural countryside lies a gallery surrounded by beech & fir.
Created with passion and filled with art that rarely reoccur.
Our story
Ten years ago, we left Malmö and moved to our country house in beautiful Österlen. We renovated the 18th-century farmhouse for permanent use alongside our regular jobs as blacksmith and university professor. We enjoy the serene nature around the farmhouse and have now transformed the old pig stable into an art gallery after renovating it alongside the old farmhouse building.
The art gallery
The pig stable, which dates back to the mid-19th century, has been renovated to preserve its original details, windows, and beams. While currently serving as a family gallery, we hope to invite guest artists in the future. Our gallery will be open during Easter, alongside other art galleries in Österlen.
The exhibition
Our family has a passion for art, which has influenced our life choices and creative expressions. Per Hedblom is a self-taught oil painter inspired by avant-garde era and analytical cubism. His paintings feature small societies or enclosed environments, with houses, staircases, windows, and doors that invite visual metaphors. Meanwhile, My Hedblom is a documentary photographer with a partiality for the abstract and metaphorical, drawing inspiration from artists like Man Ray, Bill Brandt, and Cindy Sherman. Her photographs tell small stories about society, interpreted by both the artist and observer. Finally, Mom Von Hedblom is a Creative Director in the software industry with artistic abilities that span from minimalist photography, classical portraits to cubistic digital art inspired by analytical cubism and surrealism. Our art has been created in various places, including our stays at the Swedish Institute's house in Kavala, which serves as a source of inspiration for both our art and Agneta Hedblom's job as a researcher.
